Metaphil International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz
Construction Group, Inc. (ACGI), signed the Registration Agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). The agreement was signed on July 5, 2007 at the PEZA main office along Roxas Boulevard. Metaphil president and chief operating officer Napoleon Pe and PEZA director general Atty. Lilia Delima signed the agreement.

After Delima extended her warm congratulations and welcome to Metaphil International, Pe expressed “gratitude for immediate action on the registration application”. Delima further said, “PEZA is here to serve you.”

Metaphil International, Inc. has big plans. Even while the registration requirements were still being worked on, plans for the
building of the world-class modular fabrication facilities in Balamban were underway.

With the expansion, Pe stressed that “we can provide more attractive job opportunities to Filipinos.” Delima joined in, “with Metaphil and Tsuneishi, we can keep Filipinos in the Philippines, happy together
with their families.” In travels abroad, Delima has witnessed the sadness of Filipinos who are away from their families. In contrast, Filipinos in the country, though tired from a day’s work, show fun and excitement on their way home.

Delima calculated “over 100 thousand Filipinos will be benefited from the expansion of Metaphil and Tsuneishi”. She estimated 5 members per family.

Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc., a large shipbuilding company in Balamban, Cebu, is the fourth largest shipbuilder in the world.

Metaphil International will supply and service specialized fabrication components and assemblies, as well as engineering & design services, to the world.

“Metaphil can operate globally while staying local,” affirmed ACGI chair and chief executive officer Roberto Aboitiz.
